A Day in my Digital Life - Assessment 1
A Day in my Digital Life
Compared to most people, I would guess that my digital life is out of the ordinary. For a few years now, I have been developing a way to embody a digital presence that communicates in a dynamic way. It is instilled in my music playlists, my social media accounts, and my assignments.
Throughout the day
X (Twitter)
X (formally known as Twitter) is my primary platform that I use everyday. It is by far the most dynamic, and lays out the essence of this embodiment which can be found in other platforms that I use. Here is a video going into detail of how I orient myself within my digital life:
Apple Music
All of which is public. But I have no expectation for people to go beyond a shallow interpretation on my public diary, it is primarily for me. I cannot see why I can't document my progress publicly, spontaneously, and live. Most academics keep this process hidden, which has it's benefits - which is why I have V3 - but I still want to incorporate a more public medium within my band of connection to the outside world.

Youtube
I use YouTube to surround myself with a diverse collection of minds but - in the same manner as previously mentioned - I try to align root philosophy once you abstract it out. Channels such as Veritasium, 3Blue1Brown, Vsauce, SmarterEveryday, Dr. Iain McGilchrist, Jonathan Pageau, Dr. Jordan Peterson, FriendlyJordies, Nerdwriter1, The Limiting Factor, and much more. I also use the platform to kickback for entertainment.
Discord
I am apart of a few discord groups, some in medicine, math, but primarily in symbolic language. Recently, when having calls with members of the symbolic discord, I've connected with a group of seemingly very educated people. Soon I will be talking with an ophthalmologist to discuss the neurological pathways of vision and run through some work that I've been developing in regards to phenomenological vision in relation to its neurology. The beauty and pain that comes with calls with people on the other side of the planet are timezones, but the fact that it is part of my digital life is astounding.
Messages
I have lived in 3 different states and multiple towns/cities, and with my social circle being small and my family also very spread out, there are not many mediums in retaining a long distant connection. iMessage and FaceTime are essential for me in keeping up to date with my friends and family and retaining that connection. My family have a group chat in which we can send photos and update each other with our lives and have casual conversations together.
Thank you!
This is primarily what my digital life entails day-to-day. I know it is unconventional, but thank you for paying your attention to gain a sense in what digital presence I try to embody. There is still much to work on and improve, especially in the refinement of maximising good habits that can follow me for the rest of my life - as with most of us in this new digital environment.
